We had wood fired pizza last night curtesy of Neil’s portable wood fired oven. Very nice food cooked in minutes. The skill is in the doe and that takes time and patience. Jasmine was in charge of the doe. She’s 15 and heading back to Wales via train and plane to sing the solo that’s paying tribute to those that lost their lives during the pandemic at the closing of the Green Man festival. It will be a big thing for a young lady whose brim full of talent and justified confidence. We said goodbye and had a last walk on the beach . We really enjoyed our time here a nice break in a beautiful setting with great people.
We then set off home via the coastal route a little longer but recommended by the locals.
We stopped off at Ullapool on the way for fish and chips on the beach and to fill up on diesel. You have to take every opportunity to fill up as petrol stations are somewhat of a scarce resource in the wilderness of the highlands.
Ullapool is the largest town around and the ferry leaves here for the Hebrides as well as being a large commercial fishing port.
Gordon seemed to enjoying the view and the trip home.
We took the coast route home via some more stunning views.
Work tomorrow and brother Bill visiting Sunday.
The weather is gradually improving thankfully.
The video we took yesterday but couldn’t upload.
Goodbye to Ceri et al Bon voyage and see you down south 😎
