We managed to weave our way back from Marbella on the bikes with a couple of refuelling stops on the way. Some of the beach front restaurants certainly weren't designed with people like us in mind. This place is dripping with money!
I had an appointment with a physio for my shoulder this morning. He said that most Spanish ignore the place. People are being priced out of the housing market by all the second homes and foreigners. It seems to be a world wide problem!
Anyhoo he's helping with my shoulder and Rae continues with her Spanish lessons.
We have had trouble with our hand brake in the van for a while and decided that the hilly terrain that we will encounter soon meant that we should try to get it sorted. We remembered we had taken out breakdown insurance before we left. So gave it ago.
Bugger me it worked. Sort of,he came out started of by saying it was above his pay grade. Then miraculously worked out he could fix it in 5 minutes and charged us 20 euros. On the condition it was our secret. So probably ripped off but we now have a working hand break.
As a consequence we faffed about the campsite sorting a few things out . Now I apologise in advance but it's bloody hot out here! I know it's a very English stereotype but we had to resort to sitting in the shade. Never mind it's our cross to bear.
As it cooled down we walked the half mile to the beach and sat and contemplated our life choices!
Tomorrow is more of the same weather wise. We have agreed to show an English couple the cycle route into Marbella so will take books and speakers and find a beach spot alongside the promenade!
That’s what we thought
Someone has to take the heat for the team!!!!
