Bus ride and a longer than expected walk!

We caught the early bus into Weymouth and had selected a nice gentle walk in and around Weymouth. We started off walking through Weymouth towards Portland.

A nice walk along an established cycle route with our first sight of Portland. It quickly turned into a walk along the Chesil lagoon

Past the oyster farms. The last time we had seen these were in Shetland. Along this unique landscape.

Before we turned the headland facing west and the route to Lyme Regis and beyond.

We then turned inland and commenced our trip back to the start on Weymouth seafront.

An unexpected walk of 10 miles that skirted Weymouth and gave us a real taste of Dorset. With roads and a few pubs on the way.

Weather forecast is for big wind and rain for the next day or so.

Once again we will batten down the hatches and binge a couple of series.

Bus back to camp and alls well with the world
