Clarification and apologies if offended.

I wrote a couple of days ago about white privilege and the climate emergency.

I would like to put the record straight it was my musings and my musings alone. It does not reflect the views of the organisation that I work for. I would add that I never name the company nor was the post meant for any other audience other than friends and family. I am sad that whoever took offence did not have the decency to approach us first before escalating it to HR.

I have spoken to HR and they are happy with the explanation.

Finally the company have previously acknowledged that ethnic minorities are seriously underrepresented in both the membership and workforce and plans are in place to redress the in-balance. The company has also undertaken to reduce there carbon footprint and have signed up to a greener agenda, both of these we would of course fully endorse.
