Common people

We had to take dogs to the vet. Gordon to get his vaccinations for travelling to Europe, Derek to have his teeth looked at. As it wasn't raining we thought we would make the most of it and walk around Southampton common.

It's a place that I have been visiting since I was a child. In all of that time it has hardly changed. The boating lake remains.

As does the duck pond.

There's a great old cemetery adjacent which is definitely worth a visit. The zoo closed many years ago and the paddling pool is now a children's playground.

The common remains a great place to escape the noise and chaos of city life.

A bit of babysitting tonight. Rain is likely to hanging around for a bit so that will restrict our options. We are off to Hayling Island on Friday with the family.
