We set off early for a day out to Pluckton and surrounding areas. Bill was driving and the weather was pleasant with intermittent sunshine. We parked at the top of the hill and walked down the hill towards the town. We decided to take a diversion via a couple of beauty spots.
We stopped for a spot of lunch before we set off again to the local village.
This is the view over Loch Carran inland . This loch is tidal as opposed to fresh water.
Down to the village and exploring along the shore .
Looking out to sea and enjoying the views.
We spent time enjoying the views. The loch was calm and as a consequence gave the appearance of a mirror.
We then headed back via a couple of art galleries to Kyle for a take away before returning to base. A thoroughly enjoyable day with good weather and good company.
A view across the bay to a B&B a room here will set you back upwards of £250 a night. Work tomorrow and Monday. Not a bank holiday up here in Scotland. Bill will be staying until Tuesday to avoid the holiday traffic. We are heading off to Inverness on Tuesday for a couple of days R&R. Bill has been a little lax on the picture front so expect a full update tomorrow. To wet ones appetite.
Picture of Brock and the castle from a different angle. The Brocks date fro approximately 500 years BC .
Water looks so clear !
