Day out with friends!

We are in the most beautiful campsite. Very laid back with fire pits and like minded people. The backdrop is spectacular we have seals adjacent with eagles hovering above. Even the drizzle that has been with us all day could not spoil this. The campsite has a great shop with everything you need plus it’s own Irish pub with an outstanding pint of Guinness and sharing the views from the veranda.

We went stone stacking in the morning.

We headed off to visit a local waterfalls down some very windy roads past a beautiful bay.

These are the roads that took us to the falls.

Neil drove dodging other

vehicles passing more glorious scenery.

Eventually arriving at the falls in front of us was a 5 mile walk to and from the falls. The path was at times treacherous and my knee continues to give me grief. But worth every step.

Even Gordon appeared to reluctantly enjoy the walk despite the conditions.

Friends made the day

We decided to take the long way home via some more great scenery and this beauty.

A great day out. Unfortunately the internet is not too hot so I’m having to curtail the pictures as it’s refusing to upload them.

We are returning back to the site tomorrow. My brother Bill is unexpectedly due to visit from Sunday. So looking forward too seeing my first family member since embarking on our grand adventure
