First night nerves

We returned to the van in the carpark for our first night off site. We need to get used to the insecurity and potential vulnerability of free camping. As we lay in bed there were youngsters in carpark and we became a little hyper vigilant but hopefully over time we will be become a little more accustomed to the vagaries and potential upsets and relax. If not then we will need to look at alternatives.

Luckily we had on suite facilities

We've moved the van to a nearby lay-by for a second night in the wild we then headed off to the castle.

It was very beautiful with stunning views across the Bristol Channel. An impressive stately home with a knight in attendance.

It has a fully functioning mill and if you wish you can buy oats and muesli.

On the walk through there's a communal orchard where we eat apples straight from the trees.

We spent the afternoon wandering the castle grounds and searching out secret pub gardens.

We are discussing our future plans as we are discovering various teething problems with full time van life. There is an option of sitting still for a bit while we sort out the gas, fridge bicycle and other stuff. If we do we will look to find somewhere until December then head south for January and February before returning to the UK. We've been offered a site in the Ribble Valley for next year.

We did find a secret garden with one of the best views from a garden that we've come across so far

This is our second nights accommodation with unrivalled views and select neighbours 😱

Gordon is voting with his feet 😳

Off to Minehead for a pizza and then home tomorrow for a night on Calmore industrial estate before our van and we attend the Doctors the day after.
