Rae wasn't feeling so good so I abandoned her and Gordon and took off on the bike. Up through the old town and off into the countryside.
Following a route set out on all trails with a bit of improvisation at the end.
Great tracks across the wetlands.
I was just thinking I wonder if the flamingos have arrived yet looked up and low and behold.
I've remembered where they are so I can bring the others to see them.
The road stretched on into the distance. Largely flat so I was able to turn off the battery for most of the ride.
Came to the end of the track and decided to make it a circular loop. Started off well with a lovely cycle along a very quiet road. Looked over to my left and saw Flamingos stretching as far as the eye could see.
On the negative side the track ran out and I was stranded. After a lot of faffing decided to take a risk and hightailed it down a stretch of dual carriageway. Not sure it was totally legal but made it in one piece.
Got back early afternoon after cycling around 30 miles.
Apart from the end bit it was an enjoyable ride with flamingos, storks and loads of waders for company.
Spain has returned to normal no bank holiday here. Kids are on holiday until the 6th of January.
Tomorrow is another sunny day. We shall wait to see how Rae's feeling before we decide on what we are doing.
