Granada con mi amigos

Having trouble with the app today I am currently unable to load pictures.

However had a really nice day walking around Granada . Met up with Jenny and Tony who happen too be visiting from the UK. It's difficult to imagine a more contrasting experience of Granada. They are staying in a beautiful 5* Hotel a former palace in the Center of town. We are in a small box in a gravel carpark on the edge of town.

We managed to survive last night's downpour and had a very hot and sunny day to enjoy the sights .

Granada is a beautiful city with snow capped mountains as a backdrop. It's incredibly busy with tourists and locals alike. Unfortunately a lot of the town was not designed to cope with today's traffic and size of vehicles. A large proportion of the old town is single lane and only taxis and small buses are allowed. Even so they become gridlocked with foot traffic mingled with the cars and motorcycles.

We saw the Alhambra from below and had coffee , drinks and food as we promenaded with the locals and herds of tourists.

Granada like other popular tourist destinations is struggling to deal with the ever increasing tourist numbers.

Tomorrow we are embarking on the longest drive of our return home. 6.5 hours will hopefully get us to Valencia where we are due to spend 5 nights before heading further north.

The long drive.

Still awaiting a call from the blog admin to try and sort out storage issues. We got up reasonably early and left the sight at about 9 for the 6 hour or so drive to València. It was the best drive we
