Holiday

We set off to Oban just before 10 the journey via Fort William took about 2.5 hours. As always the journey in itself was reason enough for the long distance. We arrived expecting to be placed in the late night arrivals slot as the site was full. Unexpectedly they had found us a pitch right on the shore.

Without a doubt the best camping pitch we have ever had.

We arrived and sorted what we needed too then headed off to Oban on the bus. A little overwhelmed by the crowds and vibrancy of this beautiful ferry port. Many ferries depart from here to the islands.

Fish and chips on the harbour and then a gentle meander around town. This is probably nicer than Inverness and puts Fort William to shame mind you Totton does that!

A fog bank as seen from the harbour.

The view from the pub.

Soft drinks obviously.

A little touch of Rome more pictures to come once we ascend.

A bit of a circuitous route but here we are.

A more artistic interpretation

This is a place we both agreed that we could settle. If of course we could move family and friends up here.

We are now heading to find the bus back to the site.

My lord that was more difficult than it should have been. But here we are worth the effort! Be prepared for a truncated report tomorrow as we maybe in the recovery position. In the meantime eat my view!!!

Good night and thank you 🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😎
