Headed off before daybreak towards Fort William and beyond. We had to arrive on site before 10.00 as Judith had very kindly arranged for us to arrive early so that we could have the pick of the best spots right on the edge of the sea Loch that links Fort William with the sea.
We set up and spent time drinking in the scenery and once again marvelling at the beauty of Scotland.
We were hoping to walk the 13 miles or so into Fort William but the weather forecast was a little dodgy. The thought of being dripping wet and cold on arrival got us to rethink the plan. Initially we thought dogs could not travel on buses so we got a taxi. Subsequently we called the bus company and they can. So we will bus back to site a little cheaper but not as stylish đ
Fort William itself remains disappointing.
We had lunch visited a couple of charity shops and the odd pub before setting off!
The trouble is Fort William is punching well below its weight. It should be a dream spot but.
We waited for bus hopefully Gordon will be allowed on!
As we wait for the bus the weather draws in. Hopefully the bus will arrive before the storm.
Somehow we managed to get on a school bus for free and dropped off at the site!
And so to base
A better day tomorrow forecast đ¤.
Mind to day was or so bad .
Worse days according to Gordon đ
