After an early supper we strolled into town about 10 minutes away on foot. It took a little longer as the tide was out and we took advantage of the balmy evening to follow the seashore.
A few drinks in town before heading back. Not a sound last night and any fears that we had as regards unruly youth were misplaced.
Summer has arrived in Scotland just as the kids are starting back to school. The wind was strong but it was an ideal temperature for sitting reading and watching the world go by.
We did manage to rouse ourselves with a walk up the beach.
It's a huge beach when the tide is out but there's only a thin strip of sand at high tide.
So it's best to keep an eye on the tide times when planning the day.
We are still restricted to where and when we go further afield as we await van repairs. Tomorrow is due to be hotter than today up in the high 70s. We have decided as a consequence to return to the site tonight. We will use the car to find a shady walk for the dog.
Speaking of dogs there's an art trail along the Fyfe coast of various incarnations of these fella's.
Raising money for local charities. And from the other end.
It looks like the fine weather is here for at least the next week so here's hoping that the van is fixed quickly so we can make the most of it.
