Rain short walk.
Another day of rain and clouds the sun was not in evidence at all. As such we decided in a shorter walk in between showers. We opted for the historical walk in and around Markinch the village adjacent to the site.
Markinch was the capital city of the kingdom of Fyfe. Since then it's become one of the circle of villages that the new town of Glenrothes was built inside after the war.

It still affords great views of the surrounding countryside.
With the church in the background.

The weather is set to improve over the next few days so hopefully we will be able to get out and about once again.
We have another 5 days before we return home for the Easter holidays.

Gordon for one was pleased to be safe and dry back in the van.
