Storks Flamingos and a little off road!!

Rae had a late Spanish lesson so I took the opportunity to head out with my bike and no dog.

I found another circuit that included a large chunk of beach riding. Not getting tired of this kind of riding 😊.

The bike is ideally suited to beach and off road stuff. It's fat tires are a god send! We have used the bikes more here than we have since we got them.

We had ridden past this on a few occasions and it's rated as one of the top sites in the area. This will give you some idea of the tourist attractions. The old town weather and beaches make up for it.

Returned to the van and picked up the layabouts and decided to go flamingo hunting. We had to head out into the nature reserve and the wetlands.

Luckily we achieved our target with herons, storks ,egrets and assorted waders thrown in.

We decided to make it a circular route and it was precarious at times. Gordon was forced to walk as it was hostile terrain with his buggy crashing on several occasions luckily with him outside.

Strangely we are staying in the town that Osbourne family have their Bodega. The ubiquitous Bull is a strong memory from my childhood. I'm looking forward to the tour of the winery that we have yet to book.

The weather remains dry and as such we have no settled plans at the moment. We are considering hiring a car in the new year to explore some of the further flung nature reserves.

We have secured the next 2 destinations when we leave here on the 17th. Takes a bit of pressure off!😎
