Sunshine pubs that could have been wind rain and hail.

Woke up to snow on the mountains again. It had rained last night but was still a surprise A bright and warm morning. The plan was to head out early ride the bikes with Gordon in his trailer to the start of the walk and then walk the 8 miles or so to the nearest local pub for lunch. A journey of in total approximately 30 miles. On the way out it was so hot that poor old Gordon was dunked in a stream to help cool him down.

The path went up steep hills into woods where helpfully someone had marked the trail.

Down hills to yet another waterfall.

At this point we struggled to find the path and as we had set off a little late started to consider our options!

We could either risk it or cut our losses. Our minds were made up when suddenly the wind turned icy and rain turned to hailstones. unfortunately as the weather forecast was for sun not a mention of rain, we had not packed the right stuff. Attempted to find shelter but were cold and drenched. Once again we have been caught out. Lesson learned pack for the worst hope for the best!

This is the same view 2 hours apart. On the way out

On the way back.

No Guinness pneumonia instead better planning next time😏.

Back to work tomorrow looking forward too a bank holiday weekend expecting to be busy. Unfortunately the weather not looking to good at the moment.
