That sealed it.

A beautiful day so we grabbed the train and headed off to Burntisland with the intention of walking the 9 miles or so to Kilkaldy and then jumping on the train home.

There are two routes along the coast depending on wether the tide is in or out .

Luckily the tide was out. There are indicated escape routes should one become caught out by the incoming tide.

It afforded us great views towards the bridges.

We also were treated to a colony of seals taking advantage of the sun, basking and topping up their tans.

As we neared the destination we came across this ruin. Seafield tower back in the 16th century home to a laird and his entourage.

We had lunch on the beach in Kilkaldy a totally different experience to whe we were here last time.

The winds and tge sea much calmer.

We then walked inland to another great park the second one we have been to in Kilkaldy another great park this one has a boating lake and rose garden. Again so much better parks than down home.

We got the train home without any drama.

Tomorrow we are heading off to meet up with Gerald in Peebles . He's up here for a holiday with his family. Looking forward too catching up and exploring Peebles with someone who knows the area.
