Old town

Updated: Dec 22, 2023

Rae had Spanish lesson this morning . It was a beautiful morning so I had taken her bike out for a test ride. It has been causing her a little bit of anxiety. It is a little clunky at times. I applied a little WD40 and fingers crossed it will solve the problem.

There's a port a little bit down the coast where rich people come out to play.

These are the wind breaks for the yacht harbour!

Last night the wind was a little higher at 13 mph but it did blow the clouds away. I have however taken down the awning just in case.

The wreck was on the way to the old port. Apparently this is where Columbus set sail for the Americas. We have managed to end up by mistake at a place of some historical importance?

On more prosaic matters we have a great mix of history and present. We have bought tickets for New Year's Eve a celebration of 80s and 90s music.

Plus we happened across a celebration of the 3 kings. A very important celebration for the Spanish,

.They believe that the 3 kings bring the presents to the baby Jesus on the 6th of January. And this makes more sense than Santa.

It was organised by the police and was outside the police station!

Tomorrow we have a Queen tribute band at OMG 22.30 start! So we will have to schedule a siesta before heading out!

The long drive.

Still awaiting a call from the blog admin to try and sort out storage issues. We got up reasonably early and left the sight at about 9 for the 6 hour or so drive to València. It was the best drive we
