I headed off to the beach as an experiment with the walking poles. It is a suggested way to help with shoulder problems. Rae had her Spanish lesson.
We then met back up the van saddled up the bikes and set off for Marbella for the final time. We initially went up into the old town but like most of these places they are now set up solely for the tourists.
We did find a plaza dedicated to Salvador Dali . Strange as he had no connection to the town apart from having a friend here.
We visited the famous orange square had a picnic amongst the high priced restaurants. We had intended to visit a rare charity shop ( not really a thing in Europe, what do they do with all there old shit?) but it was shut for siesta.
So we headed for the massive shopping centre with Marks and Spenser H and M and Primarni. I did well out of the deal new shoes, trousers and jacket!
Went out for a meal with the couple we had met in a really nice local bar . A fitting end to our stay in Marbella.
Certainly not a place we would hurry back to. We really are not there target audience.
Today as we rode up towards the mall it was nice to see the non tourist part. Spain is a huge country and this is not is finest offering.
Tomorrow we head for Malaga and the Spanish we have spoken to tell us it's a much nicer place. We shall see 🤩.
